Wake Works Detailing was founded out of a simple love for the water and a frustration with how hard it was to find someone who actually cared about getting a boat right. Growing up around Lake Lanier and Lake Allatoona, our founder spent years on the water and noticed the same thing over and over — boat owners either had to settle for a rushed wash job or pay big-marina prices for basic care.

So Wake Works Detailing started small — a trailer, some buckets, and a genuine passion for making boats and jet skis look showroom-ready. Word spread fast among lake communities across North Georgia, and what began as a way to help neighbors keep their boats clean turned into a full mobile detailing business built on trust, hard work, and attention to every last detail.

Today, Wake Works Detailing brings premium, mobile marine detailing directly to boat owners across North Georgia's lakes — from routine washes to full oxidation removal, polishing, and ceramic coating. Every boat and PWC is treated like it's our own, because we know how much pride owners take in their vessels.

We're not a big impersonal operation — we're local, we show up, and we do the work by hand. I'm Max Lubell, founder and owner of Wake Works Detailing. I grew up around the water in North Georgia, and some of my best memories are days spent on Lake Lanier and Lake Allatoona. Over time, I noticed how many boat owners struggled to find someone who would treat their boat with the same care they did — either stuck with a rushed wash job or paying marina prices for basic work.

I actually started this as a hobby at just 15 years old, detailing a few boats around the lake for extra cash. It wasn't until I saw how much our loyal customers truly valued the work that I realized this was more than a hobby — it was a real business worth building.

That's what pushed me to start Wake Works Detailing. I began detailing boats and jet skis for people in my own lake community, and it grew from there — one recommendation, one showroom-ready boat at a time. I built this business by hand, learning every technique myself, because I wanted every customer to get the same level of care I'd want for my own boat.

Today, I run Wake Works Detailing to bring that same personal, detail-obsessed approach to every boat and PWC we work on across North Georgia's lakes. This isn't just a business to me — it's a way to give back to the lake communities that shaped me, one detail at a time.
